Remedi SeniorCare is seeking a licensed and experienced Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to lead the daily operations of our pharmacy and ensure excellence in medication distribution, compliance, and staff performance. This role requires strong leadership, attention to regulatory detail, and a commitment to patient-focused care in a long-term care pharmacy setting.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day pharmacy operations and workflow
- Hire, onboard, train, and supervise pharmacy staff
- Ensure staff licensure, certification, and performance align with regulatory standards
- Conduct performance reviews and manage coaching, counseling, and discipline processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies (DEA, Board of Pharmacy, CMS, etc.)
- Maintain compliance with USP 797, USP 795, USP 800, and internal policies
- Monitor controlled substance handling, documentation, and security protocols
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding in accordance with applicable regulations
- Ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing, packaging, and labeling
- Manage drug inventory, acquisition, storage, and disposition, including returns and recalls
- Address client issues and medication inquiries with timely, informed guidance
- Support clinical decision-making, formulary management, and therapy recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including billing, customer service, and audit teams
- Drive continuous quality improvement and escalate issues as necessary
- Ensure pharmacy computer systems are used accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in all operational areas
- Participate in third-party audits and provide support for compliance reviews
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service within the pharmacy
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
- Licensure: Active pharmacist license in the state of practice; additional state licensure may be required
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge;
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., Framework, DocuTrack, CIM)
- Familiarity with Medicare Part D and long-term care pharmacy regulations
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
