Fully remote at a commutable distance for residents of:

Baltimore, MD

Cleveland, OH

Troy, OH

Oklahoma City, OK

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or 8:30:00 am – 5pm with 1 late day until 6pm.

What You'll Do:

  • Engage and Resolve: Reach out to residents, nursing facility staff, and financially responsible parties via phone, fax, email, or mail to discuss and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Manage Accounts: Work on aging accounts with a focus on resolving issues related to insurance coverage, claim rejections, and prescription dispensing.
  • Communicate Clearly: Utilize established processes and tools to communicate past due amounts in a professional and effective manner.
  • Process Payments: Handle credit card payments and prepare/send collection letters.
  • Ensure Confidentiality: Adhere to HIPAA and PHI guidelines to maintain the strictest confidentiality.
  • Strategize with Management: Collaborate with department management to develop and implement effective collection strategies.
  • Stay Informed: Participate in staff meetings and educational activities to stay current with industry best practices.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in pharmacy or medical collections, with a solid understanding of billing rules and third-party operating procedures.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team Player: Ability to work positively and productively with others.
