Remedi SeniorCare is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to join our Patient Accounts team. As a Patient Accounts Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless processing of new admissions and readmissions, serving as the initial point of contact for facility customers to facilitate timely medication delivery.

What you will do:

As a Patient Accounts Representative, you will be responsible for receiving and processing all new admissions and readmissions, ensuring accurate demographic and payer information for timely medication delivery. You will serve as the gatekeeper, working closely with facility customers to provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all admission demographic and billing information, ensuring completion before sending to other departments for medication order entry, processing, and delivery.
  • Triage, accurately process, and forward/complete admission information from an electronic queue.
  • Verify and ensure receipt of insurance cards and Pharmacy Enrollment Agreements.
  • Prioritize work based on operations and billing department deadlines.
  • Process facility discharges accurately.
  • Collaborate with appropriate departments to address coverage issues prior to order processing, including insurance verification and additional documentation.
  • Verify and enter responsible party information and contact details in the patient chart.
  • Process daily census related to admissions, discharges/deaths, and room changes.
  • Establish relationships with facility staff to ensure timely receipt of new admissions and census changes.

What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiarity with insurance and claims preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in patient demographic entry and/or medical patient intake preferred.
  • Excellent general computer and typing skills.
  • Schedule: Days, evenings, and weekends.
