What You'll Do:

 

  • Accurately enter controlled substance prescriptions into our pharmacy systems (Framework, DocuTrack, and more) to ensure timely medication processing.
  • Track and retrieve signed prescriptions from prescribers, ensuring compliance with emergency verbal orders for Schedule II drugs.
  • Communicate with healthcare facilities and prescribers to ensure all signatures are received for controlled substances.
  • Spot potential issues or fraudulent prescriptions and escalate them promptly to the pharmacist for resolution.
  • Support pharmacy operations by handling calls from customers, troubleshooting issues, and helping resolve prescription discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the order entry team and management to meet daily goals and maintain smooth operations.

 

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Active pharmacy technician credentials in good standing, per state regulations.
  • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician, ideally with order entry experience.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems and processes is a plus (Framework, DocuTrack, etc.).
  • A keen eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and colleagues, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of prescriptions.
