Remedi SeniorCare is looking for a HR Business Partner

Location: Rosedale, MD (On-site)  

As an Human Resources Business Partner, you'll play a crucial role as a trusted advisor to our site leadership, offering guidance on various Human Resource aspects including talent management, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and career development. This position involves supporting our Rosedale, MD Pharmacy with a focus on employee relations, employee engagement and manager coaching.

What you will do:

  • Partner with site leadership to resolve routine employee relations matters, improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and foster staff retention.
  • Manage employee relations and conflict resolution, coaching employees and staff regarding sensitive situations and protocols.
  • Provide guidance and input on organizational structure and workforce planning/adjustments.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding in coordination with Supervisor/Manager, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and IT staff and when necessary, ADP/HRIS to ensure all components are completed timely.
  • Answer and research questions related to payroll, including deductions, leave balances, etc.
  • Partner with hiring managers on the onboarding schedule, with continued engagement throughout initial 30-60-90 days.
  • Provide guidance to site leadership in all Human Resources related areas, including performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and compensation related activity (i.e., new hire salary, job descriptions, salary changes during review process/promotions/market adjustments, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (personnel files) including HRIS/ADP WorkforceNow in coordination with Talent Acquisition and Payroll staff.
  • Assist employees with changes related to name, address, dependents, or job status.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, processes and benefits and provide any necessary correspondence.
  • Provide timely/accurate answers and direction to all site staff on health and welfare benefits programs and leverage corporate, broker and carrier services to support employees with questions or problems and provide direction.
  • Responsible for setting up interns/externs and independent contractors in HRIS.
  • Coordinate internal staffing changes (promotions, demotions, transfers, etc.)
  • Deliver and/or coordinate training initiatives to ensure operating efficiency of site leadership with regards to HR processes (i.e., HR forms and workflow, Performance Improvement Planning, Performance Review process, Benefit Enrollment, and other HR related activities).
  • Participate in pharmacy staff and Town Hall meetings in support of employee engagement and communication initiatives as needed.
  • Facilitate the annual performance evaluation process for the pharmacy site(s) to ensure on-time completion with meaningful feedback and goal development for the next review cycle. Coach site leadership on the development of SMART goals as well as reinforce giving ongoing quality feedback and performance tracking.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews with employees. Analyze data points, identify patterns, and provide feedback to management. Make recommendations regarding changes for continuous improvement or corrective actions where necessary. Provide Company responses to any unemployment claims or appeals and participate in any hearings.
  • Monitor and collaborate with HR leadership on any changes in state employment laws to ensure compliance with pay, workers compensation, FMLA, benefits and unemployment.
  • Coordinate reporting and tracking of any work-related injuries or illnesses with workers’ compensation carrier, medical providers, Supervisor/Manager and employee. Complete and post annual OSHA 300A Summary and other necessary reporting.
  • Ongoing verification of required licenses and certifications for applicable positions.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of Human Resources experience

                                                  OR  

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources Management and four (4) years of Human Resources experience

                                                  OR  

  • High School Diploma and seven (7) years of Human Resources experience

 Other qualifications:

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Conflict resolution and employee relations experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of all functional areas within the Human Resources discipline.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and sensitive issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PPT.
  • Technical acumen and analytical skills to research and analyze various types of data.
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow/HRIS preferred.
  • The ability to make recommendations and to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and/or governmental laws.
